HELLO!
I would like to think I will remember how tiny my one year old’s fingers are as they hold my hand, how beautiful my seven year old looks as she dances around the living room or how my four year old loves to cuddle; however, the reality is that those memories will fade and I want to hold onto this time not only for myself but for my children, to show their children.
My experience as a photographer has been a dynamic and constantly evolving one, closely intertwined with my personal journey. Through dedicated effort and practice, I have come to realize that success is not a fixed destination, but rather a continual process of growth and adaptation. As individuals, we are in a constant state of transformation from the moment we take our first breath until our last, and it is through this understanding that I have learned to accept myself in the present moment, wherever that may be. Although it can be a challenge at times, this mindful approach has been instrumental in my development as an artist and as a person.
Over the past decade, I have established myself as a professional photographer based in Denver, Colorado, earning numerous national and international accolades for my work. Prior to pursuing photography full-time, I worked as a therapist in the field of mental health, holding a Master's degree in Family Therapy. This background has given me a unique perspective and skill set in working with individuals at all stages of life, which I have found to be invaluable in my photography practice. In my work, my goal is always to capture the unique personality and essence of each subject, creating a safe and supportive environment to facilitate this process.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I have undergone significant physical changes in recent years. Although I am incredibly proud of this accomplishment, it has also required me to learn to love and accept my body at all stages of its transformation. This journey of self-acceptance began long before my weight loss, as I began taking self-portraits even at my heaviest and sharing them with my loved ones. While I continue to work on accepting myself as I am today, even after achieving my weight loss goals, I recognize that this is an ongoing process that requires continued effort and dedication.
I am eager to bring all of my experiences and skills to the table to help others on their own journeys of self-discovery and self-love. Through my personal and professional experiences, I have learned the power of photography in capturing moments of authenticity and vulnerability, and I am excited to use this medium to help others see themselves in a new light.

“Katie photographed the birth of our youngest son. She was professional, caring, and sensitive to what we wanted in a birth photographer. The images turned out absolutely stunning. “There aren't enough words to thank Katie enough for the Birth images she provided for our family with welcoming our second child into the world. She was so kind and she honestly felt and still feels like family after being there with us during such a special time. Katie even braided my 6 year old’s hair when she could tell she was getting bored at the hospital waiting for her baby sister to arrive. Thank you SO MUCH Katie. Every time I go through our images I’ll cherish them forever & I’ll always remember how professional and kind hearted you are! I recommend Katie x a million, I’m sending everyone I know and referring her page to every Denver Momma I know!”
